How to Play Click the Button

The loop that shipped

Click the Button is not a genre thesis. LoopCap released it on 26 August 2026 as a Windows Godot clicker (~300 MB, $3.99 USD, launch price near $3.39). Overwhelmingly Positive, 500+ reviews. You click a button. Chests pay items. Money pays upgrades. A skill tree sits beside those upgrades. In the full game you also get a gacha machine, extra items, extra upgrades, a larger tree than the Demo, cosmetics for the button and background, and a merge upgrade. Keyboard-only is supported. Save anytime. No listed Steam Cloud. No promo codes. No timed inputs.

Typical 100% of the campaign is 70–120 minutes. Extra goals (1,000 of each item, golden cuties) add about 1–2 hours. If you are pacing for a weekend raid, you are in the wrong wiki.

Clicking

Each press advances the click counter, pays money according to your current click-side income, and is the usual way chests appear. Three Steam achievements are pure counts: Just the Beginning! (100 clicks), Getting the Hang of It! (1,000), Hands on Fire! (10,000). Those finish themselves on a completionist path. You do not need a 12-click-per-second tax. You do need to avoid autoclickers; they can crash the client. If you want a human baseline, use the CPS test. Comfort and the keyboard-only path are on controls.

Idle pay exists as a spendable branch. This page will not name those nodes. If you are not mashing, money can still tick — unless you have the gacha UI open, which players report pauses the whole sim. Close the machine.

Chests and rarities

Chests are the item source. Types matter because Dungeon Master! wants every chest type opened at least 1,000 times. Ghost chests that players mention are bug reports, not a type to log. See Chests Explained and troubleshooting.

Items sit in six rarities with Steam labels in parentheses: Broken (common), Nice (uncommon), Expensive (rare), Robust (epic), Nocturnal (legendary), Extraterrestrial (mythical). Six achievements are “discover all” for those bands. Discovery is not a stack check. Born Collector! is the stack check: 1,000 or more of each item. Duplicates are the long tail of a short game, not a 200-hour MMO.

Do not invent a pity timer or a “completed tier leaves the pool” rule LoopCap has not published. Watch Steam. Keep clicking chests when a unique is missing. Parking on gacha will not discover chest items while the sim is paused.

Money and the tree

Money is a closed loop. No cash shop, no codes, no trading. Spend into the upgrade UI and the skill tree as nodes become affordable. Our Constellation is maximize all upgrades in the skill tree. Describe branches by what you see: click-side effects, idle-side effects, collection-adjacent effects, and whatever merge is labeled as in your build. If the UI shows a name, use that name at the desk, not a wiki nickname.

The Demo (4805850, Very Positive, some clears around 40 minutes) does not contain the full tree or the full item list. The paid app (3946950) is the 100% client. Demo vs Full is the comparison. How to Make Money is the spend-order companion. Best build is an evening-sized plan, not a 50-hour theorycraft.

Gacha, rebirth, DLC

Gacha is a full-game machine that yields cuties. They’re So Cute! is all cuties from the machine. At Last, All of Them is all cuties in golden version. Two lists. Short visits. Close the UI. Details: gacha.

Rebirth is a loop modifier in a product that is already short. Demo players reported crashes after prestige following a large chest binge. Launch merge is the change people thanked. Do not prestige on the only copy of a 90-minute 100% save. Rebirth.

The Supporter Pack ($1.99, app 5110650) is six exclusive button appearances and designing your own scenario. It does not alter rarities or skip achievements.

The hidden Prince

The Prince and the Button has no public Steam description. This page will not invent a boss, a cutscene, or a gacha recipe. Play the rest of the list. Check the overlay at the end.

Play pattern that matches the runtime

Click chests. Spend the tree. Sprinkle gacha. Keep stacks moving toward 1,000. Pass 10,000 clicks on the way. Glance at Prince last. If the picture is wrong, controls. If the process dies, troubleshooting. If you want a ranked evening, 100% completion.

How to play Click the Button is how to finish a small Overwhelmingly Positive clicker without borrowing pacing from a live-ops idle. Close gacha. Click chests. Spend the tree. That is the whole verb list.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about the game.

What are the core systems?

Clicking, chests, six item rarities, money spent into upgrades and the skill tree, plus full-game gacha, cosmetics, and a merge upgrade. No promo codes.

Why does the game freeze when I open gacha?

Players report the gacha UI pauses the simulation. Close the machine so chests and idle pay can run.

Do I need an autoclicker?

No. Autoclickers can crash the game. Human clicking is enough for a 70–120 minute 100%.

What does Born Collector require?

Have 1,000 or more of each item. Discovering a rarity set is not enough. Duplicates matter.

Can I play with only a keyboard?

Yes. Steam lists a keyboard-only option. Do not use a turbo macro; that is still an autoclicker.
