Click the Button Guides
A short campaign mapped for one evening: click, collect, spend, then finish the extra stacks.
This hub is the map for Click the Button after the 26 August 2026 launch. LoopCap shipped a Windows Godot incremental of about 300 MB. List price is $3.99 USD, with a launch cut around 15% that put it near $3.39. Steam sat Overwhelmingly Positive with 500+ reviews. Plan an evening, not a season. Most players 100% the campaign in about 70–120 minutes. Extra goals — 1,000 of each item and golden gacha cuties — add about one to two hours. This wiki will never tell you to budget 50, 100, or 200 hours.
Start with Getting Started if you have not clicked yet. Move to How to Play when you want the systems in one place. When you want a checklist instead of a lecture, use the 100% completion route. The Achievements page quotes official Steam unlock text only, including the hidden Prince entry that has no public description.
Chests are the campaign’s engine. Chests Explained covers the six rarities — Broken, Nice, Expensive, Robust, Nocturnal, Extraterrestrial — mapped to Steam’s common through mythical labels, plus why Dungeon Master! wants every chest type opened 1,000 times. Duplicates are not trash. Born Collector! needs 1,000 or more of each item. Treat stacks as a real clock.
The full game added a gacha machine that the Demo does not replace. Gacha and cuties is the stop for ordinary cuties, golden versions, and the pause-while-open complaint: the sim freezes while the machine UI is up. Close it when you finish rolling. How to Make Money is about spending through upgrades and the larger skill tree without inventing official node names. Rebirth is where Demo prestige-after-many-chests crashes live, and where players thanked the launch merge upgrade for stability. Controls covers keyboard-only play, save anytime, and the Demo fullscreen corner bug.
There are no promo codes. Steam Cloud is not listed on the store. Saves are local. Autoclickers can crash the client; do not bring them into a two-hour game. Ghost chests are community bug reports, not a secret type you should farm. If something dies, read troubleshooting before you delete the save.
How to use this hub in one sitting
Treat the dropdown as a sequence, not a wiki crawl. Hub, getting started, how to play, completion, achievements, chests, gacha, money, rebirth, controls. That is the intended order. Jump to gacha only after chests are producing. Jump to rebirth only if the live UI is asking for a reset. Jump to controls if the picture is a 1280×720 stamp in the corner or if a mouse is painful.
The Demo vs Full page is not a guide, but it belongs in your head: some people finish the Demo (app 4805850) in about 40 minutes. The paid app (3946950) adds gacha, new upgrades, new items, a larger skill tree, button and background cosmetics, and the merge upgrade. The $1.99 Supporter Pack is six exclusive button appearances plus designing your own scenario. Cosmetic. Not a skip ticket.
What these guides will not do
They will not mint skill titles. They will not invent drop percentages, pity timers, or a 200-hour collection MMO. They will not list fake YouTube from a different game. They will not tell you Steam Cloud will rescue a deleted file. They will not rank autoclickers. If a sentence would require a proper noun LoopCap never published, the sentence is cut.
Read one child page, play twenty minutes, then come back. The product is small enough that a second tab is optional. If you only open two links tonight, make them Getting Started and 100% completion. Everything else is color around a short, Overwhelmingly Positive clicker.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about the game.
How long does Click the Button actually take?
Most players 100% the campaign in about 70–120 minutes. Stacking 1,000 of each item and golden gacha cuties can add another hour or two. Ignore any guide that talks about 50–200 hour grinds.
Are there redeemable promo codes?
No. LoopCap has not shipped a code system. The Codes page exists to say that clearly.
Should I start with the Demo or the full game?
The Demo (4805850) is Very Positive and some people finish it in about 40 minutes. Gacha, the larger skill tree, new items, cosmetics, and the merge upgrade are full-game additions. Plan 100% on app 3946950.
Do duplicate items matter?
Yes. Born Collector requires 1,000 or more of each item. Discovering a rarity set is a different Steam tick from stacking copies.
Which guide should I open first?
New players: Getting Started, then How to Play. Completionists: the 100% route plus Achievements for official unlock text.
